Stunning slices of vermeil (10mm) starburst discs and sterling silver (6mm) starburst discs top a large hand faceted smoky quartz rondelle (15mm X 7mm).  A machine faceted (8mm X 4mm) prasiolite finishes the piece.  Prasiolite is quartz that has undergone at least a 2 phase treatment to achieve the green colour that is not natural to the quartz family.  It is a misnomer to call it "Green Amethyst" because it is not.
